The TRUTH about the New Kansas Science Standards
Find out what REALLY happened - it will astound you!
3 Experts will open your eyes! Learn why the changes are vitally important.

Speakers:

William Harris, PhD - Research Biochemist & Prof. of Medicine

Dr. Harris is an internationally known biochemist who led the team of scientists and educators who proposed the bulk of the critical changes. He will explain how the changes were developed during a year-long process and how they were validated by the testimony of 23 expert witnesses during three days of explosive hearings captured by TV cameras from around the world. Dr. Harris likens evolution to a stool that rests on three legs: micro-evolution (change within a species); macro-evolution (the development of major new body plans and biochemical systems) and chemical evolution (theories of the chemical origin of life). He will explain the existing scientific controversies over macro and chemical evolution and how the new standards encourage teachers to objectively introduce students to these controversies.

Angus Menuge, PhD - Philosopher of Science

Dr. Menuge, an author of a number of books, is a philosopher of science and expert on scientific materialism. Scientific materialism is a doctrine that effectively turns evolution into an ideology rather than a true scientific theory. He will explain why the use of the doctrine in origins science is scientifically and educationally problematic and how materialism subtly promotes non-theistic kinds of religion while denigrating theistic varieties. As he testified during the Science hearings in May, he will show how the Changes remove a religious problem from the standards by importing scientific objectivity into a discussion that unavoidably impacts religion.

John H. Calvert, JD - Attorney; Managing Director of Intelligent Design network, inc.

Dr. Calvert presented 22 expert witnesses at the science hearings in May. He also testified as the 23rd witness as to the constitutional need for objectivity in origins science.
His remarks will primarily focus on how the changes have been systematically misrepresented and why it is important that the public be adequately informed about an issue fundamental to religion, ethics, bio-ethics, government and even politics.
